The Late Dr. Fanuel Shechambo

Taarifa zilizotufikia hivi punde ni kwamba wapendwa wana-mlimani wenzetu Christopher, Toni na Masi "Gloria"wamefiwa na baba yao mpendwa Dr. Fanuel Shechambo asubuhi ya leo huko Tanga

Dr. Shechambo went to SEKUCo in June 2008 and became the first DPA of our university college. Two months later, the SEKUCo Governing Board appointed him to the position of Deputy Provost for Academic Affairs (DPAA). He held that position until May 2010. On 1^st of June 2010 the Governing Board decided to return him to the post of Deputy Provost for Administration. He was also assigned to act as Dean of Faculty of Science.

During the last month, Dr. Shechambo’s health has been unsteady. This was mainly caused by complications arising from diabetes, an illness which he has had for many years. On 15^th April 2011, his health weakened significantly. At midnight he was taken to Lushoto District Hospital where he was being treated until his death which occurred on Saturday, 16^th April 2011, at 9.30 a.m.
